Christy Thornton wins Library of Congress Fellowship

Assistant Professor Christy Thornton has been named one of the 2023 Kluge Fellows at the Library of Congress. Twelve fellows are chosen in the social sciences and humanities by the Kluge Center, based on those who are best-suited to the Library’s collections and the Kluge Center’s mission. Fellows are in residence at the Library of Congress for four to eleven month periods.

Thornton will work on a project examining the changing ways that officials from international financial and economic institutions understood and reacted to social protest against the institutions and their policies from the 1950s to the present day. Read the announcement.
